IIT Kanpur Placements 2024: 579 Placed on Day 1, Last 13 Were International Jobs
The first day of the IIT Kanpur placement season was a real success. A total of 579 companies came over there for recruitment. 199 PHPs the remaining students are hunting for and 13 students are securing jobs in the international arena.
The trajectory of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, continues to be very promising judging from the fact that the students have received in total 579 on-campus job offers up to the end of the first day of this year’s placement season. The communication informed by the leading technical institution declares that a total of 523 students of which 199 have accepted PPOs from distinguished national and international companies are being placed through a combination of campus placements and pre-placement offers (PPOs).
Among these, 199 students stood out by accepting PPOs from leading national and international firms. Adding to the institute’s global reputation, 13 students received international job offers, highlighting the global demand for IIT Kanpur’s exceptional talent.
The first day was an extremely successful one with the participation of 74 organizations working with blue chips firms. Names of the industry leaders such as Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Databricks, Google, American Express, SLB, and Deutsche Bank come at the top of the list of the main players thus confirming the exceptional quality of the talent from IIT Kanpur. Feeling satisfied with the recommendations made by the successful placement team Professor Manindra Agrawal, the Director of IIT Kanpur, who is quoted as saying, “A great many job offers from the most prestigious international companies we got, starting from Day 1, is a proof of the worldwide recognition of our university’s academic performance and, of course, the ability of our students. In the same respect, I must commend the placement team for their hard effort and precise planning from the outset.
