The police account said that Rakesh was discovered by the edge of a street in Pargaon Khandala being slipped into the car and remained unconscious.

Local residents who saw Rakesh, informed the police who later confirmed that the person had consumed a poisonous substance as an attempted murder of himself. He was driven to a hospital where doctors found his system poisoned and then they commenced the therapy process. There was a shocking occurrence when Rakesh telephoned his wife’s parents and admitted he had taken her life.

Gauri Anil Sambekar, who was aged 32 and had a background in mass media and communication, was the victim. She had recently been at home after having been laid off from work, while Rakesh was working as a project manager at a Hitachi company.

The couple, who are originally from Maharashtra, have been living at Doddakannahalli under the Hulimavu police station limits in Bengaluru for the past two months. Following serious discussions between them, sources from the police department indicated that the couple had a history of frequently getting into rows and also disputes involving physical fights-there were more incidents like this.

On March 26, Rakesh got provoked by Gauri during an argument and then he used a knife to stab her in her abdomen and slit her throat. Gauri’s body was then placed in a suitcase which he left in the bathroom before taking a bus to Pune.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Sarah Fathima declared that the officers in the first place had come as they had been tipped that there had been a case of hanging about 5:30 PM. “When our Hulimavu police inspector reached the house, it was locked. After gaining entry, they found a suitcase in the bathroom. That’s when we realized it was an offense. The FSL team opened the suitcase and found the woman’s body with injuries everywhere.,” said DCP Sarah.

Authorities immediately started tracking Rakesh’s movement on the basis of his cell phone records and let Pune police know what was happening. Besides the Pune’s police department, he was arrested by the authorities of the Hulimavu police station who were recommended to bring him back to Bengaluru from Pune for further interrogation. The head of the police also reiterated the fact that the victim’s body was not fragmented as it was first believed. Very few people were slightly injured because of the malfunctioning security cameras. The body was not autopsied, it was found one piece.“. The actual nature of injuries will be determined after the postmortem report is issued,” she said.

The investigation is still ongoing. Police are focused on understanding the sequence of events that led to this crime and on trying to determine the motive behind the murder.
