Body of 21-Year-Old AAP Leader’s Daughter Found Under Mysterious Circumstances in Ottawa

devastating incident has hit the family of a city Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader after the body of his 21-year-old daughter, Vanshika Saini, was found close to a beach in Ottawa, Canada, on Monday. Vanshika, who was the daughter of AAP block president Davinder Saini and an aide of city MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa, had gone missing from her rented house on April 22.

The dire scenario was triggered when one of Vanshikas friends notified her family about her disappearance on April 25, triggering quick action. In accordance with top police official, Davinder Saini called the police and was instructed to contact the Ottawa embassy online and lodge a missing report.

In a statement, Saini confirmed that a postmortem examination had been donealthough he said it would take some time for the body to be repatriated to India. The last the family heard from Vanshika was on April 22, the day she disappeared.

Local legislator Kuljit Singh Randhawa was also deeply pained by the sad loss and said, “We are sad to the core at Vanshikas death. She was a topper in her school in Dera Bassi and was doing well in Canada. Davinder is a close friend and in charge of my office. It’s personal loss for us too.” Randhawa added that he called on the Saini family to pay his condolences and support.

Also, Randhawa added that he has contacted members of the party, including MPs Raj Kumar Chabbewal and Balbir Singh Seechewal, to help the family arrange to have Vanshikas body returned to India. “Our party leadership has approached the Union government and has also sent a letter to the concerned embassy to enable repatriation of the body. The cause behind this tragic death will be known once the report of the autopsy is out,” he further stated.

Vanshika had recently finished a two-year health studies degree in Canada on April 18, after senior secondary school in Dera Bassi. She was working in a call center and had found employment in a private clinic. Unfortunately, she left for work on April 22 but did not return. When her friend was unable to get a response from her, they went to her apartment and found she had not come home, and the alert was escalated to her family.
