Two Arrested in Daylight Robbery
The suspects have been identified as Rajesh alias Raju Galphade and Shyam Sheshrao Shinde, both residents of Landewadi in Bhosari.
Two Held in Daylight Jewelry Shop Robbery in Pune
Pune police crime branch, along with their Pimpri-Chinchwad counterparts, managed to arrest two of the three suspects involved in a daylight robbery at a jewelry shop in Dhayari. The recent incident involved the suspects using a toy gun during the robbery.
The arrested persons have been named as Rajesh alias Raju Galphade and Shyam Sheshrao Shinde, both from Landewadi of Bhosari. As per police, Galphade works as a laborer, whereas Shinde is a driver. Preliminary investigations show that the trio committed the robbery with the aim of earning quick money.
During their investigation, police recovered the motorcycle employed in the act of crime from Pu La Deshpande Garden on Sinhagad Road. Authorities are still trying to trace the third suspect who was part of the robbery.
The incident brings to the fore the continued challenges confronting law enforcers in securing the safety and security of business entities in the city. The police are appealing to the public to be alert and report any suspicious behavior in order to avert such offenses in the future.
