‘Yeshu Yeshu Prophet’ Bajinder Singh Gets Life Term In 2018 Rape Case
The allegations were lodged by the complainant that Bajinder Singh lured her with a promise to take her abroad and then raped her while videoing the act.

Affectionately, a self-claimed preacher by the name of Pastor Bajinder Singh has got his life broken and zest sentenced through the local court of Mohali, Punjab, India in relation to a 2018 rape case. 42-year-old Singh, known as the “Yeshu Yeshu prophet”, was serving time in the Patiala jail where he was held under the following sections of the Indian Penal Code, 376 (rape), 323 (punishment for voluntary causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation), respectively.
The case of this nature was reported to the police department after a woman visited Rwaka‘s police station in 2018. She accused Bajinder Singh of using his rapport to woo her to go with him abroad and then seductively provoking her by making and threatening to publish a video. The place of the felony was the man’s residence which was located at the Mohali Sector 63.
He also threatened her, without hesitation, to post the video on social media if she did not fulfill his request. Public Prosecutor SPS Parmar said that the court acquitted five other accused, Akhbar Bhatti, Rajesh Chaudhary, Jatinder Kumar, Sitar Ali, and Sandeep Pehlwan, for lack of evidence.
Earlier this year, the pastor was charged with beating a woman by the Mohali police force, and he has some other cases needed to be taken care of. The video that was shared on the internet on social media of him was quarreling and hitting girls took place earlier in the month. The footage, in which it was alleged to be a certain date (February 14), showed a man (who was identified as Singh) quarreling and throwing papers at the said woman before finally hitting her.
Singh is also being investigated for a sexual harassment case that was filed on February 28 by a 22-year-old woman whose allegations he said are baseless. She reported that he had messaged with her that was inappropriate, she came to his cabin at his request, and he tried to make sexual advances to her.
To look into the charges, the police have constituted a 3-member team of Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by Superintendent of Police Rupinder Kaur. He was a preacher in 2012, and his congregations are always big, with the followers who want to be cured of their illnesses by means of miracles that they go to. He is the head of the Church of Glory and Wisdom at Tajpur in Jalandhar, and also the head of a Majri church in Mohali.
Nevertheless, the supporters emphasize that his church is well distributed throughout India and abroad. His YouTube channel named “Prophet Bajinder Singh” where his sermons are telecasted to the live audience has over 3.74 million subscribers.
