Federal Bank Launches “Twice is Wise” Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign’s Second Phase

August 13, 2025, Mumbai At its BKC office, Federal Bank today kicked off the second phase of its flagship cybersecurity awareness campaign, “Twice is Wise,” with the theme “Freedom from Fraudsters.” In collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), this CSR initiative seeks to provide citizens with the means to protect themselves from financial cybercrime.

Highlights of the campaign:

Launch of anthem: Federal Bank unveiled a catchy new anthem on their YouTube channel that aims to instill the phrase “Pause, verify, think twice” into daily behavior.

Outreach and scale: This six-month phase includes 17 cities in 11 states, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vizag, Surat, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and more.

Engagement channels: Radio commercials, roadshows, workshops at 85 schools and colleges, as well as social and digital media, will all be used to launch the campaign.

Proven impact: A good measure of the campaign’s reach is the fact that the first phase in Kerala earlier this year reached over 6.5 million (65 lakh) people in just 20 days.

In the digital age, K V S Manian, MD & CEO of Federal Bank, stressed the importance of being vigilant: “A single click can unintentionally lead to fraud.” Our best defense is to pause for a moment. We can avoid a lifetime of regret by taking a few more seconds.

I4C CEO Rajesh Kumar reaffirmed the importance of awareness, saying, “The most effective weapon against cybercrime is public awareness. By acting sensibly, knowledgeable citizens can stop numerous online scams.

With over 12 lakh cases and ₹12,000 crore in losses recorded in 2025, cybercrime in India is still on the rise, making citizen readiness more crucial than ever.

The campaign’s multi-city and multimedia format guarantees widespread exposure, from urban professionals to students.
