If India stays on path of 2047 plan, will benefit country, world: Bill Gates

Gates talked extensively about India's future, the efforts his philanthropic organization, the Gates Foundation, was making in India, the influence of Artificial Intelligence, the role of innovation, and the danger of climate change.

Microsoftex-CEO Bill Gates on Wednesday praised Indiasuccess in artificial intelligence (AI), stating that India’dominance in AI will fuel innovation globally.

Addressing the Future Forward event—a resultsfocused gathering of international industry leaders, policymakers, investors, and changemakers that creates spaces for collaboration and practical impact—the Gates Foundation Chairman commented“Just as Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) has drawn worldwide attention, IndiaAI leadership will fuel innovation globally.”

Gates added that he had recently talked to Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw to make sure India participates in the forthcoming AI Summit, which is designed to serve nationsspecifically from the Global South.

Elucidating the probable advantages of AI, Gates emphasized that it will speed up developments in fields like mRNA vaccines, agricultural technology, and combating malnutrition.

By collecting and analyzing data, we can deploy targeted interventions and remove obstacles that keep people from advancing,” he further added.

The Chairman of the Gates Foundation also appreciated the strength of Indian firms in creating low-cost, high-quality vaccines and appreciated the nation’s healthcare industry.

Through collaborations with firms such as Serum Institute, Bharat Biotech, and IRI, India has been at the forefront of manufacturing affordable, high-quality vaccines that are utilized worldwide.

Indian innovation would not make vaccines as accessible or affordable” without it, Gates stressed.

With continued collaborations and investments in digital infrastructure, health, and education, Gates added that India is poised to continue its transformative journey, spreading progress on a global level.
