Mumbai, march 27 : A luxury car belonging to Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was involved in a minor accident in Mumbai’s Juhu suburb on Wednesday when a Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) bus hit the vehicle from behind. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
A video recording the moment, where the luxury car is accompanied by a red BEST bus, went viral on social media in no time. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was not in the car when the accident occurred, according to sources.
Witnesses said that the car did not incur much damage from the impact and was spotted speeding away shortly after the accident. But the case took an interesting turn when a bouncer from a nearby bungalow located adjacent to megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s home on Juhu Tara Road came out and slapped the driver of the bus, a BEST official confirmed.
The bus official said the bus had only just departed the Juhu Depot and was on its way to Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow when the accident happened. “The driver alighted to check on the damage caused to the car, but then suddenly a bouncer from one of the surrounding bungalows stepped out and slapped him,” said the official.
After the scuffle, the bus driver had called the police control room, and a team was sent to the spot. But when they reached there, supervisory personnel from the bungalow allegedly apologized to the bus driver.
Since the issue was resolved on the spot, the bus driver did not file a complaint, and no FIR was lodged. The driver then continued his journey towards Santacruz suburban station, the official said.
The incident has evoked reactions on social media, with most social media users criticizing the actions of the security officials involved. BEST officials have not made any official statement about the scuffle.
