2 Weeks After Wedding, UP Woman, Lover Hire Killer To Murder Husband
On inquiry, it was found that since the victim's wife and her lover could not meet each other after her marriage, they planned to murder the husband.

Two weeks after their wedding, a 22-year-old woman conspired with her lover and engaged contract killers to kill her husband in Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya district.
The two accused, Pragati Yadav and Anurag Yadav, were living together for the last four years, said the police. Their parents, however, were not pleased with their relationship and forcibly married Pragati off to Dilip on March 5.
The police on March 19 found Dilip lying in a field with severe injuries caused by bullet shots. He was taken to the community health center in Bidhuna for treatment. But when his condition deteriorated, the victim was transferred to Saifai Hospital and later to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. The 25-year-old victim was then transferred to a hospital in Auraiya on March 20 where he passed away a day later, officials added.
After the incident, the victim’s brother lodged a complaint at Sahar police station.
During inquiry, it came to light that since the victim’s wife and her paramour could not get together after the marriage, they plotted to murder the husband. The two engaged a contract killer, Ramaji Chaudhary, for killing Dilip and gave him Rs 2 lakh to commit the crime, said the police.
The officials reported that Ramaji and some other individuals took Dilip to the fields on a bike. After reaching there, they began to beat the victim and shot him. They promptly ran away, added the officials.
The three accused were identified on the basis of CCTV footage and then arrested. Officials also seized two pistols, four live cartridges, one bike, two mobile phones, one purse, Aadhar card, and Rs 3,000 from the accused.
Police are also looking for other individuals involved in the crime – who are on the run at present.
