Disha Salian’s father accuses Aaditya Thackeray of brutal rape and murder in order to file a formal complaint against him
Alleging rape and murder, Disha Salian's father has petitioned the Bombay High Court to investigate her death. He also wants to file a formal complaint against Aaditya Thackeray.
The father of Disha Salian, the former manager of Sushant Singh Rajput, has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court to have his daughter’s death investigated. He asked for a First Information Report (FIR) against Aaditya Thackeray, the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT).
According to Satish Salian, Disha Salian was brutally raped and killed. According to PTI, the city police’s initial investigation was sincere, but the case was closed to protect powerful individuals.
According to the report, “The Mumbai police quickly closed the case as a suicide or accidental death without considering forensic evidence, circumstantial proof, and eyewitness testimonies,” the plea stated.
What was said by Satish Salian’s attorney?
Nilesh C. Ojha, Satish Salian’s attorney, responded to the accusations against Aaditya Thackeray by telling ANI that the state was ruled by the Uddhav Thackeray government at the time of her murder. The corrupt police officials covered up the case because Aaditya Thackeray, his son (Uddhav Thackeray), was the accused. When the Shinde Sahab government took office 2.5 years later, Fadnavis Sahab served as the Home Minister.
He went on to say, “A written complaint alleging gang rape was filed on January 12, 2024, against Aaditya Thackeray, Suraj Pancholi, and others. For over a year, no FIR was filed. According to Aaditya Thackeray’s affidavit, the CBI gave him a clean sheet in the case. Additionally, there is evidence that Anil Deshmukh was opposed to any action being taken against Aaditya Thackeray.
Disha Salian Death
On June 8, 2020, Disha Salian passed away following a fall from the fourteenth floor of a building in the Malad suburbs. It was classified as an Accidental Death Report (ADR) case by the city police. The next week, on June 14, 2020, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was discovered dead in his Bandra flat. At first, the city police classified it as a suicide case. Later, the case was turned over to the CBI.
Shiv Sena’s (UBT) response
Kishori Pednekar, a spokesperson for the Shiv Sena (UBT), responded to Satish Salian’s appeal by calling it a “conspiracy.”
There is a conspiracy, and someone is responsible. Why has this issue gained attention after over four years? An SIT has already been established to look into the matter after the CID conducted an investigation, Pednekar told PTI.
The accusations made by the BJP against Aaditya Thackeray
Aaditya Thackeray was called out by the BJP, who urged him to tell the truth.
“Aaditya Thackeray ought to be honest. Nitesh Rane, a BJP minister, told PTI that he ought to step down as an MLA and submit to the investigation.
Additionally, Rane claimed that Disha Salian had been killed.
Rane declared, “I have been saying this from day one that Disha Salian was murdered.”
In the meantime, Home Department Minister of State Yogesh Kadam requested that Satish Salian provide the department with the necessary documentation.
“We’ll do as the High Court instructs. “Party politics will not be present in the investigation,” Kadam told PTI.
