Joshua Blackledge, Teenager Who Had Over 1 Million Followers On TikTok, Dies In US
The TikToker had more than one million followers on the social media platform, and the majority of his videos were regarding his teenage life and time with his girlfriend and friends.
A US 16-year-old Tiktoker who was famous for his car videos has passed away. Joshua Blackledge of North Carolina passed away at home on March 18, as the New York Post reports. How he died remains unknown. According to an obituary, the teenager, 16 years old, attended West Carteret High School where he participated in wrestling and school track. The TikToker had more than a million followers on the site, and the majority of his videos were related to his childhood and time with his friends and girlfriend.
“He enjoyed the outdoors and liked being near water, fishing or boating with friends. He also enjoyed cars and trucks. At home, Joshua enjoyed assisting his mom in cooking, gardening, and yard work. He was a spirited kid and was famous for his fun personality, often astounding people with backflips,” the obituary stated, according to the Post.
“Joshua will be remembered by his friends as a man with a zest for life. May his memory be a comfort to all who grieve his loss,” it said.
Blackledge’s last post included his white BMW vehicle and a new white truck. His girlfriend, Emmie Gillikin, was also often featured on his page. The two were said to have celebrated their 8-month anniversary in early March.
Paying tribute to the 16-year-old, Emmie shared various clips of their relationship. “Missing this sweet boy so much right now. never would have imagined i would be here without you. Josh taught me what love was really about even (though) im really young. he never failed to make me smile no matter how angry i was at him. Even after these last couple days nothing feels real and I’m feeling all the feels,” she wrote. Blackledge’s fans also offered a touching tribute to the 16-year-old. “Knowing that Joshua is not here anymore it breaks my heart and we all miss him so much,” posted a user.
“to Josh’s family and friends im so very sorry for your loss I wish I could’ve spoke to josh a few more times but the times we did he was such a respectable person I can see with all the tributes how loved he was and will continue to be my condolences to everyone affected by this Rest In Peace Josh –umrob820,” wrote another.
“We never knew you josh but we always looked at you you seemed so kind and sweet and we will never ever forget you are so so deeply missed josh and I am so so happy you are in a better place then here LLJ,” a third individual posted.
Blackledge is left behind by his parents, Jonathan and Jackie Blackledge and brother Josiah Blackledge.
