Vijay Sethupathi denies “filthy” allegations of a “drugs-sex nexus,” claiming the accuser is “doing it to be noticed”: “I complained to the police.”

Filmstar Vijay Sethupathi has denied sexual harassment allegations made against him on social media. The actor, known for his roles in Jawan, Farzi ,Maharaja, Viduthalai, and Super Deluxe, argued that the accuser was “doing it to get attention.” He filed a complaint with the cybercrime cell and claimed the accuser was a “jealous element” trying to damage his reputation ahead of the release of his new film, Thalaivan Thalaivii. He said no one who knows him will believe the “drugs-sex nexus” accusations.
Vijay’s legal team have immediately taken action on the case and has already complained to cybercrime. He has faced similar challenges in the past and has emerged unscathed. He insisted that he was being targeted because his latest film, Thalaivan Thalaivii, which also stars Nithya Menen, was “doing well.” He believes that jealous elements think that by tarnishing him they can damage his film.
The controversy began when a user named Ramya Mohan accused Vijay of sexual misconduct on social media. Mohan wrote that the media worships these men like saints, and the drug-sex nexus is real. She also criticized Kollywood’s drug and casting couch culture, stating that a known face in the media was dragged into a world she never signed up for and is now in a rehab center. The post has since been deleted.
