Navi Mumbai: In a shocking crime fueled by obsession, a 21-year-old man allegedly killed the husband of a woman he loved. He stuffed the body in a sack and dumped it in Vashi Creek, police said.

Incident Details

The victim, Abubakar Suhadli Mandal, was 35 years old. He lived with his wife Fatima Mandal, who is 25, in Vashi, Navi Mumbai.

Fatima reported her husband missing on Monday after he failed to return from work. She also told police that Aminur Ali Ahmed, 21, had been pressuring her to marry him.

Crime Discovery

Police launched an investigation into Abubakar’s disappearance and soon found that Aminur had murdered him.

According to officials, the accused stuffed the body in a sack and discarded it in Vashi Creek.

To hide evidence, Aminur allegedly tossed Abubakar’s clothes and other belongings into a drain near the Vashi village underpass on Panvel-Sion Road.

Arrest and Investigation

Aminur has been arrested and charged with murder.

Police are currently searching for a friend who is believed to have helped Aminur in the crime.

Police Statement

A senior official said, “The murder seems to have been driven by unrequited love. The swift investigation allowed us to locate the body and make an arrest quickly. Further inquiries are ongoing to identify all accomplices.”
