House Collapse in Delhi’s Mustafabad: 4 Dead, Several Trapped – Tragedy Caught on Camera

A horrific accident was witnessed in the Mustafabad locality of Delhi on Saturday morning when a four-storey building collapsed at 3 a.m., killing four people and trapping many others under the rubble. The tragedy was caught on CCTV cameras, which reflected the unexpected nature of the disaster.
As reported by officials, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and local police had been sent to the site immediately after the incident occurred in order to launch a rescue operation. Sandeep Lamba, Additional DCP of the North East District, acknowledged the death toll, reports that four individuals had died of their injuries after being rescued and that other people are still trapped. “It occurred at approximately 3 am. 14 were rescued, four of them have died.it was a four-storeyed building.there are rescue operations going on. 8-10 are still suspected to be trapped,” Lamba informed news agency ANI.
Rajendra Atwal, Divisional Fire Officer, said the house collapse call was received around 2:50 a.m. “When we reached there, we found that the whole building had collapsed and individuals were under the debris. The NDRF and Delhi Fire Service are engaged in rescue operations,” he added.
Eyewitnesses testified to the inhabitants of the building that “two men and two daughters-in-law“ lived in the building which collapsed. According to one of the witnesses, “The eldest daughter-in-law has three kids, and the second daughter-in-law has three kids. we don’t know anything right now. They can’t be seen anywhere.
The collapse of the house coincided with extreme weather conditions in Delhi, which saw heavy rain and thunderstorms late on Friday night and may have led to the fatal occurrence.
Incidentally, a structure failure was witnessed last week when a wall of a building under construction collapsed close to the Madhu Vihar police station during a dust storm. One person died and two were injured in the incident. Police informed that the wall was of a six-floor under-construction building. “At about 7 p.m., we got a PCR call. On reaching the spot, we found the wall of the six-floor under-construction building had collapsed in the dust storm. One person was killed and two were injured. The injured were shifted to hospital,” said Vineet Kumar, additional deputy commissioner of police (East).
While rescue efforts are ongoing in Mustafabad, the public is waiting to hear more about who got trapped and how this tragedy occurred.
