Seawoods Domestic Dispute Turns Tragic: Woman Killed in Alleged Drunken Rage
Navi Mumbai: A heated argument between a couple in Karave village, Seawoods, ended in tragedy on Sunday evening when a 45-year-old man allegedly stabbed his wife to death.
The accused, Raju Bisan Kakde, reportedly attacked his wife Jyoti (35) with a vegetable-cutting knife during a domestic quarrel. Neighbours and relatives, who rushed to the house after hearing screams, managed to catch hold of Kakde before he could escape and handed him over to the police.
According to investigators, Kakde had been unemployed and addicted to alcohol for a long time. Relatives claim Jyoti often faced harassment and physical abuse whenever he demanded money for liquor.
Family’s Efforts in Vain
In a desperate attempt to save her, neighbours and relatives immediately took Jyoti to the nearby municipal hospital. Sadly, doctors declared her dead before admission, as she had suffered multiple deep stab wounds.
The NRI Police have registered a case under BNS Section 103(1) for murder and arrested the accused.
Jyoti’s death has left the neighbourhood in shock, with many recalling her as a quiet and hardworking woman who had long endured domestic abuse.
