Mumbai Police Arrest Share Fraud Accused on the Run for 21 Years

Mumbai: In a major breakthrough, the NM Joshi Marg Police in South Mumbai have arrested a man who had been absconding for over two decades in connection with a share fraud case.

The 50-year-old accused, Santosh Hirachand Jain, a resident of Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, was recently apprehended from the Mira Road area. Authorities confirmed that Jain had been evading arrest since the case was first registered.

According to police records, an FIR was filed against Jain back in 2004 at the NM Joshi Marg Police Station under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, following allegations of share fraud. Despite being on the run for 21 years, investigators continued their pursuit and finally managed to track him down through persistent surveillance and intelligence gathering.
