Netflix Reveals Holiday Release Dates for ‘Stranger Things’ Final Volumes
The final chapters of Season 5 are coming in two installments via streaming; Volume 2 on Christmas day, that is, the 25th of December, with the final one on the 31st of December

How and When the Final Episodes Will Be Released
Netflix has officially announced the release dates for the final volumes of Stranger Things Season 5, thus paving the way for an emotional finale to one of its most successful shows across the globe. Netflix has decided on an appropriate release date, thus allowing its final series to coincide with the celebration of Christmas and New Year events.
Volume 2, with a total of three episodes, is all set to be launched on December 25, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET or 5 p.m. PT for audiences in the United States and Canada. The launch on Christmas Day will give the audiences a perfect opportunity to return to Hawkins after the events of Volume 1, earlier this November.
For international viewers, it will go live a few hours later due to time differences, thus making it an experience on the 26th of December for some regions. These upcoming episodes are predicted to increase the level of tension, thus leading to the much-awaited conclusion.
Netflix has also announced that Volume 3, which comprises only one episode and is effectively a volume of the series finale itself, will arrive on Dec. 31st, 2025, in the U.S. and will essentially spill over into Jan. 1st, 2026, which is expected to cover most international regions. Of course, this places it firmly on New Year’s Eve itself.
The split release strategy is in keeping with the Netflix strategy of keeping the audiences engaged for multiple weeks. And now that the finish line is in sight, the waiting world is gearing up for some nostalgia, some suspension of disbelief, and some closure as the near-decade-long journey of *Stranger Things* comes to an end.
