Mumbai Police Bust Inter-State Arms Smuggling Gang, Arrest Two

Mumbai: In a major operation aimed at curbing illegal weapons in the city, the Malad Police have arrested two men allegedly involved in an inter-state arms smuggling network.

Police recovered a foreign pistol, a rifle, country-made guns, and live ammunition from the accused, who are now in custody. Officials said the arrests came after careful investigation and intelligence gathering, targeting gangs that transport illegal firearms across state borders.

“This is an important step to ensure the safety of citizens and disrupt the operations of organized crime groups,” said a senior police officer. Investigators are now working to uncover the wider network and identify others involved in the racket.
