CBSE Withdraws Affiliation of G D Goenka High School in Gurugram Over Rule Breaches

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has suspended the affiliation of G D Goenka High School, in Sohna Gurugram for the 2026–27 session. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) took that step after an inspection. The inspection showed that G D Goenka High School did not follow the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) affiliation guidelines.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) says G D Goenka High School did not meet the safety standards. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) also says G D Goenka High School did not meet the infrastructure standards that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) requires for continued recognition.
CBSE stressed that schools must operate inside marked and safe grounds so that students are protected from entry and outside interference. CBSE noted that shared facilities bring risks such, as movement without supervision mixing with students of ages and possible safety problems. CBSE said the board finds the risks of shared facilities, under the board affiliation rules.
The board told the school management to clear the campus of all institutions to put up a six foot wall and to have separate entry and exit points. CBSE told the school to set up a Composite Science Laboratory and to keep paperwork as required by the Affiliation Bye-Laws.
CBSE’s move sends a strong message to educational institutions nationwide, reinforcing its commitment to student safety and strict adherence to infrastructure norms. The board reiterated that any compromise on safety standards will invite firm action.
