Mumbai: Man attacked with knife and cleaver after resisting mobile phone snatching.
The victim, a housekeeper, sustained injuries to his face, neck, back, and arms during the incident, which occurred in Mulund.

Mulund Man Brutally Attacked While Trying to Protect His Mobile Phone
In a shocking early-morning incident, a 52-year-old housekeeper was left seriously injured after he tried to stop two men from snatching his mobile phone in Mulund East on Wednesday.
The attack took place around 6 am near the bus stop opposite Veer Savarkar Hospital on Mahatma Phule Road, close to Hanuman Chowk. The man was reportedly on his way to work when the assailants approached him and tried to snatch his phone. When he resisted, they pulled out sharp weapons — including a knife and a chopper — and attacked him mercilessly.
He sustained multiple injuries on his face, neck, back, and arms. Passersby who witnessed the horrific scene rushed to help and immediately alerted the police. He was taken to a nearby hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a case and are scanning CCTV footage to trace the attackers.
Residents in the area are deeply disturbed by the incident and are urging authorities to increase patrolling, especially during early morning hours when many people step out for work.
