Ola Driver Attacked With Iron Rod, Dragged On Car Bonnet For 2 Km In Navi Mumba
The incident reportedly took place late Saturday night on Palm Beach Road following an argument over overtaking between Ola driver Praveen Pandey and an unidentified motorist.

Navi Mumbai | August 19, 2026: A shocking road-rage incident on Navi Mumbai’s Palm Beach Road has left an Ola driver injured after he was allegedly attacked with an iron rod and dragged on the bonnet of a moving car for nearly two kilometres.

The incident reportedly occurred late Saturday night after an argument over overtaking between Ola driver Praveen Pandey and an unidentified motorist.
According to the information available, the argument escalated rapidly. The unidentified car driver allegedly struck Pandey on the head with an iron rod, causing him to suffer injuries and bleed.
Driver Allegedly Dragged On Moving Car
Following the alleged assault, the accused reportedly attempted to flee the spot. Pandey tried to stop the vehicle from leaving.
However, instead of stopping, the driver allegedly accelerated the car, causing Pandey to fall onto the bonnet. Fearing that he could fall under the vehicle, Pandey reportedly held onto the windshield wipers while the car continued moving.
The vehicle allegedly travelled for nearly two kilometres with Pandey clinging to its bonnet before the incident came to an end.
Police Investigation Underway
The incident has raised serious concerns about road rage and the safety of motorists and cab drivers on Navi Mumbai’s busy roads.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack and are attempting to identify the accused motorist. Police have not yet disclosed whether the accused has been traced or arrested.
The incident also highlights how seemingly minor disputes over overtaking or traffic manoeuvres can quickly turn violent, potentially putting the lives of multiple road users at risk.
