Three men abducted Prince Pandey, a young man from Ahmedabad, and tried to extort 50,000 USDT (Tether), or Rs 42.90 lakh, in a terrifying crypto-related crime. The kidnappers coerced him into getting into a car, demanded access to his digital wallet, and enticed him with the promise of a business transaction. They drove across the city and attacked him when he refused to divulge the password. Luckily, Pandey was able to notify a friend, which prompted an immediate police response.The three accused were taken into custody after he was saved. The incident underscores the need for greater digital asset security in light of the rise in cryptocurrency crimes in India and the increasing risks faced by cryptocurrency investors . Police are still looking into additional connections.
