PM Modi Marks Navy Day With Tribute To Naval Forces

Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed warm greetings to all personnel of the Indian Navy on Navy Day and lauded their steadfast commitment towards guarding the coastline and maritime zones of India. He mentioned how their service strengthens the country’s securities and instills more confidence among every citizen.

The Prime Minister recalled celebrating Diwali this year on board the indigenously built aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, terming it a memorable and deeply inspiring experience. He said that the visit reinforced his admiration for the Navy’s professionalism and the technological progress which it represents.

PM Modi gave a message of self-reliance in defence, underlining the fact that the rapid modernization of the Navy will substantially enhance India’s maritime presence. He noted that strengthening naval capabilities has become quite crucial in a world where global trade, sea routes, and regional security are getting increasingly interlinked.

The Prime Minister also said that India’s maritime forces secure not only the national waters but contribute to global peace, disaster relief, and international cooperation. Their presence, he said, reassures allies and deters threats across the Indian Ocean region.

The Navy Day celebrations were marked with an impressive operational display off the Kerala coast and included such major warships as INS Vikrant, fast attack vessels, a submarine, and a number of aircraft. The show reflected the Navy’s preparedness, strategic strength, and ever-improving technological edge.

Concluding his remarks, PM Modi acknowledged the rich legacy of the Navy and expressed confidence in its evolving capabilities to continue protecting India’s interests at sea. He said the nation was proud of all its naval heroes, who serve with courage, honour, and a deep sense of duty.
