India remembered the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks on its 17th anniversary in 2025 with somber tributes. President Droupadi Murmu recalled the valour and sacrifice of the civilians and the security personnel who lost their lives in the horrific assault. She conveyed deep gratitude over X, saying the nation will always hail their bravery and selflessness.
The President called on the people to reinstate their commitment towards rooting out terrorism and to work together to achieve a secure and resilient nation. She underlined the value of collective strength and unity in confronting threats that challenge national security.
Among the several political leaders, the two major names included Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi. Amit Shah once again said the government was firm in its stand on terrorism and termed these attacks as one of the most brutal and shameful acts carried out against the nation.
Rahul Gandhi called upon the people to remember the extraordinary courage shown by ordinary citizens and security personnel during the tragedy. He said their sacrifice must continue to inspire the country to remain alert and committed to countering terrorism in every form.
